Reconstructive Surgery

What Is a Reconstructive Surgery?

A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure designed to lift and tighten sagging facial tissues, reduce the appearance of deep lines, and restore a youthful contour to the face and jawline. At La Belle Forme in Glasgow, we perform bespoke facelifts that are tailored to your unique facial structure and aesthetic goals.

Our surgeons use advanced techniques to reposition underlying muscles and remove excess skin, delivering natural-looking results without an overdone or pulled appearance.

What Happens During Surgery?

Your facelift journey begins with a detailed consultation where your surgeon will assess your facial anatomy, skin quality, and areas of concern. Together, you’ll discuss your goals, and a tailored surgical plan will be created.

The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic or twilight sedation. Depending on the chosen technique—mini facelift, full facelift, or neck lift—your surgeon will make discreet incisions around the ears and hairline to lift and reposition the tissues, trim away excess skin, and smooth out wrinkles.

Once complete, your face will be gently bandaged, and you’ll receive personalised aftercare instructions.

Is a Reconstructive Surgery Right for Me?

You may be a good candidate for facelift surgery if:

  • You have sagging skin around the cheeks, jawline, or neck
  • You feel your face looks tired, aged, or drooping
  • You are in generally good health with realistic expectations
  • You wish to achieve longer-lasting results than non-surgical options can provide

Your suitability will always be confirmed during a one-to-one consultation with one of our experienced surgeons.
